VH1 Airs Celeb Poker Tourney March 14
The inaugural VH1 Classic Rock & Roll Celebrity Poker Tournament is set to air on March 14. Produced by Tenner & Associates, the tourney brought rockers and metal heads together with poker pros for a televised charity event at the Flamingo Hotel. Players included Vinnie Paul of Pantera, Sully Erna of Godsmack and Dusty Hill of ZZ Top, as well as popular poker pros Antonio Esfandiari and Phil Laak. Two unknown players arrived at the tourney after winning their seats on Ultimate Bet. Commentators Phil Hellmuth and Mark Tenner joined tournament director Matt Savage to lend plenty of pro poker cred to the music-heavy lineup. Each of the players chose a favorite charity to which any winnings would be donated.
